I, vezano za posetu jednom coveku od 79 godina:

I had to listen hard to hear that. I had to look closely at both smooth and lined faces in this miraculously thriving city. I had to make the mistake of thinking Belgraders didn't speak English or walk their dogs in Kalemegdan park without stumbling over land mines. But in the end, that's why I came to the city — to see the other face of a coin I used to think was the same on both sides.

Sto se fudbala tice, ne samo da se razmenjuju gomile e-mail poruka, nego i po celom gradu oba pola, svi uzrasti, non stop diskutuju o tome. Jos sutra da prodje ta napetost, mnogo je lepse kad igraju neki drugi i kad se oni analiziraju.

skupljaju se i slichice fudbalera, chak i veoma uredno popunjavaju tabele pravljene u exelu, file nosi ime world cup 2006, i govori: Uf, kakva je charolija ovo svetsko prvenstvo...ja to nishta ne razumem
Ravnopravnost među polovima na delu. Čekam samo da ženske počnu da prave primedbe na sastav timova (Žigić vs. Savo i tako to). A ja ću da primetim da se ovog leta nosi mnogo kombinacije crnog i belog i širokih belih suknji sa čipkom.
Pocela sam da citam taj text u nedelju pa sam prekinula na pola sto inace radim. Anyhow, tu ima jedna slika i na njoj neki kao privezak za kljuceve, pise Beograd cirilicom, a odmah iznad stoji hiljadarka. Od pre drugog svetskog rata. Da li pise da je u pitanju neka stara para? Ne. Da li pise o cemu se radi s tim priveskom? Ne. Da li se iz teksta moze shvatiti da "bucolic parks, sophisticated cafes and clubs set against the hum of a vital city" nisu nesto sto se upravo dogodilo gradu? Jok. LA Times for you.
