Stroppy (in) Serbia: November 2006 Archives

I have mentioned how it mainly looks like to be in the streets of Belgrade, and Desperate Serbwife has this aspect of the story, but things are sometimes much more fun, as these photos are meant to show.

The skiing happened  in one of the main Belgrade streets, during the floods last Spring

Broadcast Belgrade

kuciceI did the first part of my small new media  exploration yesterday: Checked on You Tube what they have tagged as 'Beograd'. The results: 2/3 Ceca, and the rest Zvezda and Partizan. If you don't know who they are, don't bother to learn. Just forget.

Today I checked 'Belgrade'. There's a lot more variety and I recomend taking a look at some of them.

cipelOk, Carry Bradshaw knows good shoes or something, but we know self criticism. If these bits & pieces do not satisfy your curiosity, try Belgrade Blog, they've just put the list of all negative Belgrade things, systematically.
As planned, I'll go into sharing recipes.  This one is from Mexico themed party, found somewhere in cyber space, changed a little bit. (Caution: hot peppers on the broiler pan may cause heavy coughing).

shoeGreen, red, and yellow, that's the color scheme beyond the Mexican party theme, to be precise it means tequila, lemon, avocado, peppers, corn, tomatoes, and some other friendly ingredients, all needed to make organic and mental bridge between plus 25 degrees and minus two all within a week, between new Constitution, Big Brother, Kostunica, Tadic, Mladic, Bryan Adams in Belgrade, 50 cent in Belgrade, Cool & Gang in Belgrade, ten years anniversary of (hundred days long= students & citizen protests, and the idea of switching from pilates to thai chi. We'll see how it all will pass. Mi plan perfecto, that's what Pericos say. And they're on the play list.

Somebody: So, how is it in Serbia now?

hipMe: Nervous.

Somebody: What do you  mean?

Me: Go out in the street and you'll see everybody is nervous. Both drivers and pedestrians.

Somebody: Why?

Me: It's that post traumatic stress.

Somebody: What trauma?

Me: What not?

Sombody: I know. Just wanted to see what you choose to say.

End of explanation.
